This Privacy Policy is also the terms under which TripArchive ("the app") is provided. By installing or using the app, you agree to it.
All trips, locations, settings, and backups are stored locally on your device. The app has no server, no user accounts, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Nothing you enter is ever transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.
Data leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to export or share it — for example exporting an Excel, PDF, or CSV report, sharing a backup file, or sharing the diagnostics summary. In every case the Android share dialog opens and you choose the destination yourself.
TripArchive requests no permissions at all. It has no location, camera, contacts, storage, or Internet access — the app cannot connect to a network under any circumstance.
If you use Android's built-in backup or device-to-device transfer, your TripArchive data is included so it can move to your new phone. That process is operated by Android under your Google account settings, not by us.
Because TripArchive collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, restrict, or delete. No personal data ever reaches us, so we do not act as a data controller or a data processor under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have none to sell or share. If you have a question about this, contact sunmereapps@gmail.com.
Because all of your data is stored only on your device, keeping it safe is your responsibility. If your device is lost, stolen, damaged, reset to factory settings, or if the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared, your on-device data may be permanently lost and cannot be recovered by the developer. You are solely responsible for regularly backing up and exporting your trip history using the app's built-in Backup and Export features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data however caused.
TripArchive is a record-keeping tool. Mileage distances, reimbursement rates, and the resulting amounts are entered or configured by you and calculated from your own inputs. The app does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice, and exported reports do not constitute certified records. Verify current reimbursement rates and requirements with your employer or a qualified tax professional.
TripArchive is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children. It is intended for users aged 18 and over (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children — and in fact the app collects no personal data from anyone.
TripArchive includes open-source software components, each provided under its own license (for example MIT and Apache License 2.0). The full attribution list is available in the app under Settings ▸ About ▸ Privacy Policy & Licenses.
The app is provided on an ongoing basis without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. The developer may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time, with or without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TripArchive is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be error-free, that calculations or exported reports will be accurate or accepted by any third party, or that data will be preserved.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app or this policy will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the app (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or reimbursement, however caused. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
This policy and any dispute relating to the app are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington, to the extent permitted by law.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the effective date above will be updated.
